John: the Hagakure says a samuraI should go straight into battle because it is the least expected but if you don’t feel confident you are already dead before you hit the army so your call I dunno that Hagakure book was very helpful for me to understand a lot of things but I think a lot can be applied to poker games be strong
Me: I got Gus Hansen’s poker tournament book I am curious to read that
John: from the Aussie millions? Me: yeah
John: well Gus is super aggressive I think it would be a good read I think your issue is more psychological or philosophical both actually if you do not fear death then you will not hesitate another tenet of the Hagakure if others hesitate you will be the victory victor Gus doesn’t fear losing he believes in his play you are an intelligent person sometimes that intelligence will cause you to second guess everything when you play poker online that’s your main issue it can’t be money you can’t value money like that because if you are confident in your play then money is meaningless $1 or $10000000 doesn’t matter you will make the same confident play the money is meaningless there is no end goal
