Digital Internet service perhaps may not be as popular as cable, however it’s unquestionably going strong. Qwest believes a combination of fiber to the node plus Digital Internet service to houses , given fresh electronics that can operate at 40Mbps, beats the all-fiber system touted by the cable companies and telecommunication industry such as Verizon .

In the coming months, Qwest will be presenting a higher speed to its current market. To upgrade the remote terminals with VDSL2 electronics , by the last few years fiber from its central offices out to remote terminals nearer to subscriber homes.

There are loads of grounds for different speeds with a great contribution coming from location to the nearest remote terminal. Even if Travis Leo, Qwest’s DSL director did say that “almost all” can get 12Mbps speeds. He wouldn’t give any numbers on how many subscribers can actually acquire 40Mbps downloads. The only ones that will see anything near to 40Mbps will be those closest to remote terminals. Though , you ought to have an additional modem connection to do this.

It sounds decidedly lackluster if you compare it side-by-side to FiOS or DOCSIS 3. It offers more reliability to the majority of consumers who avails the 50Mbps. (also, new systems are now able to attain 100Mbps) It offers superior service compared to the majority of DSL services in the country. It definitely outperforms the majority of Digital Internet services in the nation . AT&T’s top speed tier to my suburban Chicago home is a paltry 6Mbps that I’ve never reached more than 5Mbps.

Selling off chunks of its DSL business and appears to be dropping the “DSL” tag altogether from its service. Even if the whole high-speed Internet service providers know that “fiber” refers to the “future, Qwest’s truly the time being,” an advanced optical fiber technology to provide the next evolution of Internet services to your neighbors. ” Qwest’s fiber-to-the-node rollout will soon bring blazing download speeds, between 12Mbps and 40Mbps, to 3 million more consumers. In a mark of its appearance (Web Version Number 2.0) A welcome development for customers annoyed by the telecom’s pokey upload speeds. Qwest is stressing upload speeds just as much as download, saying that its system can hit up to 20Mbps upstream. The Digital Internet Service Provider only offers 768 Kbps upload with its 20 Mbps service..

Leo stressed repeatedly that Qwest doesn’t consider broadband sales is exactingly a speed-focused game, and that Qwest’s “value-added” services would close the speed gap with cable. In the coming years, the company can always discover new channel-bonding technology or just run fiber out from its remote terminals and up to people’s houses should.

I thought I’d put my two or three cents into a blog, related to dating in the new milllenium. It sure seems like it is the same as it was in the old millenium. Same people, same games, same end result.

Hopefully by putting what I think will be pertinent information on my blog and in to my dating and friends online network, I can help some of you out there. To find, and keep, someone who will make you happy for the long run. Or at least make some new friends along the way.

None of us are alone in this challenge. I truly think it was easier in the old days. You met someone, fell in love, and you lived happily ever after. Not anymore. You have stalkers, ex spouse baggage, kids, attorneys, STD’s, and financial woes all around you. So how do you find the power to pull it all together and actually make a relationship work? The answer to that and a few more questions are being addressed daily by me, and I believe between us all, we can make some sense of it.

Good Luck,

So many podcasters. And more popping up each day. How can I be heard?

It’s so easy to podcast nowadays that many of the podcasts are just plain junk. But if you want to stand out from the crowd, you must plan your podcast so that you will generate a crowd of rabid subscribers.

How can you start?

First – BRAINSTORM!

Make a list of all your favorite hobbies or interests. What do you do during your free time? What catches your fancy all season? List down the things you spend most of your money on. It may be on electronic gadgets, beer, cloths… If you like it, then chances are, someone else does too and will listen to you if your show is about it.

Here are more possibilities. Write down your favorite TV shows, movies, music, games, sports, religions, political parties, philosophies, and books. As you are writing them down, sort them into categories like ‘very interesting’ to ’slightly interesting’ to ‘may be interesting’. Don’t be restricted. Anything goes.

If you are in need of inspiration, you can always visit various podcast directories. Just google ‘podcast directories’ and and you’ll find lots to get your brain juices going.

This may help you to determine if there is an interest in your potential podcast. If there’s absolutely no competition, you may be alone in your interest. BUT it’s difficult to say until you actually upload a show and start promoting it.

Don’t worry if there’s lots of competition. What this means is that there are probably lots of potential listeners out there. Go ahead.

Download a few shows of each podcast that looks interesting, and give them a listen. Pick up their good points and bad points. Consider…

“How could I have done a better job?” “What are the things I thought should have been mentioned but was not?” “Do I agree with them or is there an Alternative view I can present?”

Some are great shows already with loyal followers so you may not want to compete with them directly. Instead, develop a complementary show to theirs. Change the format around. Have an interview show and invite them as a guest. Chances are, they’ll plug you on their show and you’ll get some of their fans visiting you. If they like what they hear, they may stick around.

There are lots of other stuff one can do. But if you want your podcasts to be heard for a long time to come, you must put in the effort to develop a good podcast. Bottom Line is this: do your research and develop your unique proposition before you start. That way, you won’t the indistinguisable from the rest of the podcasters out them. Instead, you will stand out for being different.

After all, you podcast because you want to be heard. Let your listeners hear something fresh and alive – with your personal touch.

You Might Be A Snob-Blogger If…

According to Jupiter Research, about 2 percent of the online community has created a blog. That works out to millions and millions of blogs, and in turn, millions and millions of snobs who publish them. That’s an awful lot of Snob-Bloggers!

You see, in order to care enough to publish a blog, you really need to be somewhat of a snob. Before we get into the reasons why, let’s look at the definition of snob.

Combine that definition with the definition of a blogger, and you get a Snob-Blogger, defined as ‘anyone who blogs, period’. Yes that’s right, bloggers by nature are snobs.

Not me you say! Yes, you too! ALL bloggers are Snob-Bloggers! Do you publish a blog? Don’t believe it? Take this handy dandy quiz to see if you fit the mold.

3. Does your blog link to all of your other blog friends who link back to you? On that occasion, you are most likely a Snob-Blogger.

4. If you have ever ranted about something that is only interesting to you and your blogger friends, you, I’m afraid are a Snob-Blogger.

5. If you know what RSS means, I’m guessing you are a Snob-Blogger.

6. If you would stop publishing your blog because you knew nobody was reading it, you my friend are most likely a Snob-Blogger.

7. Do you recognize Wil Wheaton as someone other than the geeky kid from Star Trek: The Next Generation? If so, you are certainly a Snob-Blogger.
