Insurance Leads
What are ad generated internet leads? An insurance lead is made when buyers who fill in an online form, usually to obtain an online quote. The individuals discover these online insurance forms one of two unique approaches: The insurance leads click on an online ad, for example a banner, or they click on a search result in Yahoo, Google, or Bing. There is frequently a large distinction in quality between the two. Clients that click on online advertisements are not generally seeking for solutions. They accidentally happen to observe the online advertisement at the same time they are browsing the internet. They perhaps have a slight interest of some sort in an insurance solution, or perhaps they could have been strung along by a giveaway of some form. A small number of these insurance customer leads end up as paying customers. Contact us at insurance-leads.com or call us at 1(877)245-3237.

I’ve been a student of astrology for about 36 years now and the most amazing thing to me is all the untruths or half-truths that are constantly circulated about it. If your level of understanding of astrology has been what the newspapers put out ( on the comic pages, usually…), this article should be mind-boggling. If you’ve read a few magazine articles, you’ll find a few things you may not have considered. But if you’re a person who’s read a number of books about astrology, this article may say nothing new to you OR it may seem like it’s not actually about astrology–depends on the books you’ve been reading.

The first truth about astrology I want to share is that no one has only one Sign. Let’s say you were born on April 15th. You’d be expected to say, “I’m an Aries.” Well, that’s true as far as it goes but it just doesn’t go far enough. In fact, if you think that what’s said about Aries in the books, magazines or newspapers is “exactly” what you are and only what you are, you really need to look a little deeper into yourself–you’re missing a lot!

The fact that you’re “an Aries” or “a Capricorn” or “Whatever” is saying that, when you were born, the Sun was in that Sign of the Zodiac. And, it is very important where your Sun was when you were born because the Sun in astrology refers to your Central Life Purpose–can’t get much more important than that!

However…

How do you actually go about “doing” that central purpose? The first place to look for an answer to that question is where the Moon was when you were born. And, since there are twelve places (the Signs) the Moon could have been, there are twelve different ways someone with any particular Sun-Sign can Do their central purpose. So, if someone says to me, “I’m a ______{fill in the Sign}.”, I want to say (but may not due to tact), “Which of the twelve kinds of ______ are you?”

So, the truth is you have a Sun-Sign, a Moon-Sign, and eight other important Signs because everyone has eight other planets in their full chart. Some of these planets may be in the same Sign (happens often) so most people end up with about four or five of the twelve Signs very prominent in their lives. It’s like a chord of notes being sounded–like the truth of psychology that everyone has many sides to their whole self.

An even deeper truth about astrology is that we all have all twelve Signs in our personalities. It’s just that certain ones are stronger depending on where the planets are. Still, if someone says to me, “I just can’t stand ______{fill in the Sign}!”, I really have to wonder why they’ve met so many screwed-up people with their Sun in _______ OR I have to wonder why they don’t like the _______part of themselves. Since everyone has all twelve Signs and they all have a place in our lives, if someone can say they don’t like one of the Signs, aren’t they also saying they don’t like a certain part of themselves? Think about it…

So, we all have all twelve of the energies represented by the Signs of astrology and most of us have four or five of them very prominent in our personalities. One thing this truth shoots down is the common practice of saying that certain Signs get along well or poorly with other Signs. Because most people think your “Sign” (and that we have only one) is all there is to astrology, they can be very surprised when a person with one of the “Signs” they’re supposed to get along with turns out to be someone they wish they’d never met! That’s why it’s so important to know more than just a Sun-Sign if you’re going to use astrology to help you with relationships.

And, that leads us to another important truth about astrology. This may be real hard for some folks to understand but here it is: Astrology does not, will not, and never has predicted events. What?! Yes. It’s the absolute truth, no matter if some astrologer has “predicted” something for you. What astrology does “predict” or reveal is Meaning. And, if an astrologer tells you something is going to happen, don’t you think that if it does there may just be a bit of self-fulfillment in that? O.K. What if an astrologer says some event happened in your past and that, in fact, it did happen? Believe it or not, what happened is that the astrologer saw a meaning in the chart and made a very good guess at the exact event. And, here’s some proof of that:

Many years ago, I had the opportunity to talk to two men, born of different mothers but at the same time at the same hospital. Since they had the same chart you’d think they would have had the same events happening in their lives, right? Well, all it takes is one contrary occurrence of something to disprove a theory and here it is:

There was a strong indicator in their charts at a certain time and I asked the first man what happened. He said his father had died. I asked the other man with the same chart what happened and he said he’d been on his first nude beach…

Obviously, the same chart had shown two very different events! Then, I asked the first man (and, by the way, I interviewed these men separately), “What did it mean when your father died?” He said that he’d felt like he’d had shackles removed (his father had been rather authoritarian). I asked the other man, “What did it mean to be on your first nude beach?” He said that he had dropped his shackles… They used exactly the same, and not so common, word to describe what two very different events meant.

So, we all have all twelve Signs and astrology doesn’t predict events. Whew!

There are other truths about astrology that most people have no knowledge about but those two should help open a few minds, eh?

It’s been 36 years since I was like a lot of people–believing whatever I’d been told about astrology. Now, I know the truth. Fact is, I’ve finally written a book about what I’ve learned. It’s called, “Astrological Repair Manual”, because I want to help repair various perceptions about it that can be pretty harmful if folks think they’re true. The book is featured on my web site– http://www.lulu.com/amzolt

Treasure the Earth ~ Aim for the Stars

Spirituality On The Web24 Oct 2008 03:21 pm

The tower of Babel is the synonym in the Bible for a human being. In a “normal” human being every part works and communicates together.

The brain, spine and connection with the Soul, the Antahkarana, comprise the tower.

Along the spine are the Seven Major Chakras or parallel processors. As I said, these chakras rarely communicate. They rarely work together. The parable goes that because God was afraid that the Tower of Babel would be built so high as to reach heaven, he purposefully created different languages amongst the various people building the tower.

Because of the lack of communication the tower never got built to Heaven.

The lack of communication between the chakras, or the people building the Tower of Babel, symbolises their lack of integration. Because we are not integrated our psychic bodies will not reach up to heaven. We never managed to contact our Higher Selves. We are not Enlightened.

The Enlightened have built a Tower of communication “Twixt Heaven and Earth”.

In the Ancient Sanskrit this Tower has been given the name “The Antahkarana”.

It is the psychic wiring, created in mental matter. A thoughtform created dually by the Soul and the aspirant to connect the Crown Chakra through to the Soul and then to the spiritual triad and then the Monad.

Your evolution is the height of your Antahkarana.

The Astral plane is not flat. Although most people inhabit the psychic slums in the basement of the astral plane in their dreams, when they go to sleep.

It is the “Rainbow Bridge” whereby the Higher frequencies of the energy of the Soul are stepped down to that of the Earth, so that the Earth itself can raise its frequencies, can evolve. We have been created to help in this creative act.

These frequencies are stepped down Octave by Octave through each Chakra which are really Way Stations in the Energy System of the Soul. This is the “Music of the Spheres” of Pythagoras. Because The Enlightened Master Pythagoras was indeed talking of Chakras when talking about the Spheres or the Planets. Each Chakra as it evolves corresponds to one or more of the Planets. This is the secret of Astrology. This is the means whereby the Seven Sacred Suns and the Seven Sacred Constellations in this Sacred Universe affect us.

Each Chakra, when working correctly, acts like a Transformer in an Electrical system to halve the Energy Frequency of God. The frequency drops Chakra by Chakra, “Station by Station” as said David Bowie, on its way down to this planet because as Gurdjieff said “Normal Human Beings are transmitters of Cosmic Energy”. And this is the function of Normal Human Beings. Those who are Enlightened. To transmit the Energy of The Soul. Whereby the higher energies of Truth, Prophesy, Intuition and Initiation are sent down towards this Planet.

Where the Higher Energy Frequencies of God create the Higher Energy Thoughtforms towards which the Median of the Masses are moved as they evolve and as the Earth Spirit Evolves.

Because the Energy Transmitted by the Enlightened is used to raise the frequency level of the Earth itself and all the people on it. To transmit the Light of Love down on to this planet of Love.

To dissolve the Selfishness of the separated selves, those “Law of the Jungle” Egos who cannot communicate with The Higher Self. Who think of themselves as Separate. Who think themselves Apart. Who do not know that they too are A Part of the Universe of God Itself. Those who are not connected. Those who have not been touched by God. Those who are not “Made”.

The Enlightened exist to bring light into darkness. To dissolve the darkness and this itself is the meaning of the Sanskrit word “Guru”. A person who dissolves or Transmutes Goo is a GooRoo.

And this is done through the Light of the Soul. Brighter than Ten Thousand Suns it exists alone. Unchangeable. Like Fire it lights everything with which it comes into contact. And once you are lit, you too burn with the Fire of the Soul. Like Prometheus you bring down the Fire of God onto the Earth, for the Benefit of every living being. Hari OM Tat Sat.

This is Sat Chid Anand.

I wish that I could tell every person that I meet that he or she is a beautiful person–and have them believe it. I wish I could look them in the eyes and tell them of their beauty and have them accept the words for what they truly are–the truth, plain and simple.

You know what I mean, don’t you? You and I both know that most people will deny their beauty, expressing what they feel is modesty or humility. It’s easier for us to be told that we’re talented or intelligent–our own beauty is something that we don’t want to face.

You could help me to convince people of their innate beauty. You could agree with me in an effort to reinforce the message. You could give a few specifics to illustrate just what we’re talking about when we say the person is beautiful. You could reassure the person that I’m not saying it to flatter or to try to win the person over or get something out of the person, but just trying to express in words the beauty I see when I look into that person’s eyes and see the human being there, the person who gets happy and hurt and who laughs and who cries.

You can help me by reminding the person that beauty isn’t about comparing ourselves with others, but about the part of us that shines when we love others and love life. It’s not all physical and it’s not all spiritual, but a tender combination of all that we are.

And when that person says, “No, not me,” you could argue the point and ask him or her not to talk down about him or herself, to admit to the beauty that’s there, to accept it, to thrive in it. Because you know just as well as I do that this person can hurt his or her own self-image and feelings by denying the beauty.

So I ask you: Please help me to convince people of their own beauty. Will you do that? Thank you. And we’ll start right here, with you: You’re a beautiful person.

The rest is up to you.

Spirituality On The Web13 Oct 2008 06:00 pm

Meditation really is the most wonderful tool, once you learn how to work with it. There are a variety of methods of meditating and even more purposes for which meditation can be used. During this article, you will learn a very simple method of meditating. You will also be instructed on several uses of meditation including The Stillness Exercise and Guided Meditation.

Let’s begin with setting the scene. Although with some practice, you can meditation just about anywhere, to begin with at least, it is best to choose a quiet, peaceful place where it’s not likely you will be disturbed. If you have a room designed for sacred space with an altar and so on, then that is ideal. You can however use any part of your home as long as it is quiet, or even a garden, park, or similar.

It is good to set a little ritual in preparation for the meditation, this acts as an anchor, i.e., a practice that, after a few times, helps to bring your mind into the state of meditation. Actions like taking the phone off the hook, hanging a sign on the door, lighting a candle and some incense, are good examples of such a ritual. You can also say a prayer affirming that you are about to meditate and that you want this meditation to be clear, peaceful and healing/empowering/informing depending on your meditational goals.

It is best to meditate sitting up with your back straight, however, you can lie down if you need to.

Once you’ve chosen your meditation area and performed your ritual, it is then time to meditate.

  1. Sit comfortably, with a straight back, feet flat on the ground, (use a pillow under your feet if you are too short),
  2. Focus on your breathing. Feel the breath moving in and out of your body. Do this for a few minutes, until you feel yourself relax,

  3. Check over your body for any areas of tension or tightness, then focus on that area and drop it, relax it, focus on your breath pouring into that area, releasing any tension,
  4. Slow your breathing right down, so that you are very, very relaxed,
  5. When you are ready, begin your meditation, examples are given later in the article,
  6. When you have completed the meditation, return your attention to the room or garden where you are meditating from. Notice the clothes on your skin, the chair beneath you, your feet on the floor. Then wiggle your fingers and toes to bring yourself back completely.
  7. Make sure you keep a journal of your meditative experiences, as sometimes things that show up in your meditations (just like dreams) will make more sense further down the track than they do now.
  8. Finally you may need to do some grounding exercises if you are feeling a bit lightheaded or vague. Examples of Grounding Exercises include walking around barefoot on grass, eating or drinking something, washing the dishes and stretching exercises.

This is the Meditation framework within which you can work. It may take a bit of practice, but it is worth the effort. From here, you need a few ideas on what to do with this meditational space you’ve created for yourself.

The Stillness Exercise

The first method of meditation is sitting in stillness. This is done by simply emptying your mind. Not thinking anything. Anytime you notice a thought entering your mind, just let it go and return to stillness. This takes practice, but it’s a wonderful exercise. You can start with 10 minutes per meditation and build from there. Many people meditate using this practice for 2 hours per day!

Guided Meditation

This practice is done by using your imagination to follow a journey from beginning to end. It can be done many ways including having the journey recorded on tape or cd, following a guided meditation in a group, with an instructor guiding you, reading it through just like you do a book, remember it and take yourself through it, just as examples.

A lot can be done with this meditation, everything from spiritual journeys, quests, healing, chakra balancing and much more. One simple example, designed by the author, is given below.

Full Moon Meditation

You are lying on your back, floating in a beautiful pool of water. All around you is ancient forest, and above you, lighting your way is grandmother moon, full and glowing brightly. The water supports you completely, the perfect temperature, you feel completely safe. You stare up at the moon, feeling relaxed and comfortable, and you begin to feel her becconing you, drawing you up to her. The feeling is lovely, and as you enjoy her calling you, you suddenly realise that you are in fact no longer floating in the water, instead, you are moving upward, gently, flowing, upwards, you look beneath you and see the canopy of trees. You feel free! You feel as though you can do anything, go anywhere. Gently, you try to somersault, and it works! Take some time to play with your new skill. Fly off to wherever you want to go. Or just twist and turn where you are.

When you are finished, thank Grandmother Moon for your new skill and tell her you wish to return to the earth. Slowly you move back down, until you find yourself standing on solid ground. Now return to the room you are in.

How To Use This Meditation

To make use of this meditation, you can read it and use your imagination to follow it, commit it to memory and follow the journey in your mind, or you can record it.

Recording A Guided Meditation

If you decide to record a meditation, there are a few important points to make.

  1. Keep the meditation in third tense (using words like ‘you’ and ‘your’) don’t change the wording to first tense (‘me’ or ‘mine’). It doesn’t matter that you are speaking to yourself, you will be listening to this from a recorded device, you need to feel as though it is speaking to you.
  2. Speak slowly, rhythmically, read out one phrase or instruction, e.g., “You are lying on your back, floating in a beautiful pool of water…” and then leave a few seconds space. This is time for you to process, and experience the bliss of this part of the journey. Usually 10-15 seconds is enough for the short instructions, in the more complex instructions you can leave a longer break. For the flying and exploration instruction in the above meditation, for example, you can leave a full 5 minute break so that you can really explore.

There are many books, internet sites and meditation groups that give great examples of Guided meditations. After practicing meditation for a while, you may even feel drawn to designing your own meditations.

Meditation is practiced all over the world, by people of different beliefs, faiths and cultures. This is a tool that can transform and empower your life even if you only use it for as little as five minutes a day, although the greatest rewards are to be had by committing to meditation as an important part of your spiritual and self empowerment practice.

Spirituality On The Web09 Oct 2008 06:58 am

I call myself semi-retired. I work at a job that takes up 5 hours of my day, 5 days a week. I go home and I lock myself in my office and I work on the computer for 5-6 hours a day. I try and break up my routine by doing household chores in between times when I become brain dead. On the weekend I go out for breakfast and cruise the mall, check out some book stores and go shopping.

I use my day job to make outside contacts for inspiration. I have effectively eliminated the very few friends that I had and on occasion we touch base just for old time sake and history is now the only things we can relate to or share. For the last five years I have boxed and tightly wrapped my life in the camouflage of my own importance or many times the lack of it.

I have created Roy’s Library, a wealth of books, ebooks and articles written by myself for myself. I have successfully cloaked myself in the perceived importance of my work so that I do not have to participate in life socially. I have always been semi reclusive and centered on myself. I teach about spirituality so that I may learn about it and the information that I have, I make accessible so that others may grow and improve their lifestyles. By nature I am a collector and yet I avoid collecting things, I would feel at home in a junk yard, an antique museum or a hardware store. My mother was also a collector, but she overwhelmed her home with things so I rebelled by keeping my home clean and tidy.

I found a way to collect abundance and keep it hidden at the same time. I collect words and put them into the abyss of my hard drive. So now I have successfully managed to recluse myself effectively and also collect without being messy about it.

I love to be around books because they have stored energy. They are the preserved thoughts of the authors that have written them and they have potential energy. Their thoughts are organized and indexed on pages and neatly tucked away on a library’s shelf.

A library has potential, but no life until someone picks up a book and begins to read it. The energy in the book is then transferred to the reader. The knowledge of one’s life time has only potential energy until that knowledge is transferred to another and used. Oil has potential energy, the energy of sunlight assimilated by plants converted into matter and stored as oil.

Life is not about collecting things, it is about movement. Collecting things is OK but it cannot be disguised as life unless the energy in the collection itself is released to others. What good is a thought unless it can be made manifest. A thought is nothing until it has movement, then it has life.

That is what we are accomplishing here in the physical world. We are creating life, by taking our thoughts and turning them into physical objects or movement. My writing and my collection are useless, unless someone takes them and makes them workable or demonstrates them in physical form. Words have energy but no life until they are spoken. The spoken word gives life to that which is hidden from us in a book or thought. A painting adds life to those that view it and a dance to those that witness it.

An artist or writer stores his/her life in the work that he/she creates. Many of these people have difficulty with relationships, everyday living and interaction with others. Their thoughts are often out of sync in time and place with the accepted knowns of the day and so they withdraw and become observers of life rather than participators.

I believe they are keenly aware of the separation and often put their physical lives on hold preferring to express themselves in their work. They store their life’s energy in their writings, poetry and paintings to have that energy released at a later time when it is more appropriate to have it manifested by another into physical reality. It may well be an adjustment in time and space that is made by the entity for a later purpose.

I trust that life is always shared in a natural order of things. I also believe that all of life can be shared altruistically. Sometimes it serves best to know the work rather than the worker, because humanity makes value judgments based on the writer’s or artist’s personal circumstances. I believe that many gifted people sacrifice immediate physical fulfilment for immortality through their work. I live and share an insular existence connected to others through my work at a level of consciousness that is unknown to me. But am I so different than those that would demonstrate their lives through their families and friends on a backdrop of physical symbols? As a writer I am just playing a trick with time in the knowingness that past, present and future exists simultaneously and immortality exists for all. Am I just making excuses for not participating or are my ideas and my awareness too outrageous for my time?

If I am trying to say that I was born at the wrong time and place, why didn’t I postpone my birth until a later date? Perhaps my writing is a glimpse into the future of awareness and enlightenment, maybe not believable at this time, but a seed planted for a new generation. The abstract painting is perhaps a portrait of another realm of awareness yet to come into our focus.

The importance of my work, my life or my circumstances has no purpose except for the purpose I give it while I am focused in this time and place. It is just too easy to give meaning and importance to something in the future because we do not have to take responsibility for something that is never going to happen. The future holds much promise for those that are not living now.

Do you have a goal? A focus in life? Have you invested a great deal of time, effort, money to achieve and yet feel you haven’t made it yet? For all your effort do you still feel that there is something missing in your life? It is obviously very important to set goals in your life. It gives you a focus a way forward a mechanism for making decisions when faced with a number of options. However, it can also be a prison cell.

How can making goals and having a focus be a prison cell we hear you ask. It becomes a prison cell when you create goals based on your past experiences. You look back at your skills and capabilities and then decide what you ought to focus on. In other words you set the future on the past. It creates the illusion that you are going forward when all the time you are stuck within the boundary of your past capabilities. It’s like driving your car by looking in the rear view mirror all the time. You have a great vision of what happened in the past but haven’t a clue about what is coming in front of you. The point is: whatever happened in the past is not a true indication of your potential.

As Alan Cohen stated: “To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally unlike your past. Your history is not your destiny.”

In other words if you continue to do what you have always done then you can only expect to get what you’ve always got. If you constantly focus on the past, the negative or on what is missing in your life you have no alternative but to create limited goals and focus. You are back in that prison cell again.

You need to break the cycle. How do you do it? You change your thinking.

To give yourself the chance of changing your thinking. A chance to create the life you want. A chance to create a focus and goals that you want to achieve. Start by answering the following questions. They are not easy, but they will enable you, in time, to become very focussed.

Where are you now? Where are you in life?

Describe your current situation.

What are your priorities in life?

How important are your close friends and relations to you?

What influence do you have on your partner’s life? How do they influence you? Do you like this?

Do you like where your life is going?

Where do you want to go?

What is success to you? When you are on your death bed looking back at your life what would you like to think your life was about?

Visit the questions often until you feel you really understand where you are now and where you want to go. How you get there will become obvious as you progress. Don’t rush, you have plenty of time. Keep focussed inside, on yourself. Think of yourself as opening a bank account of the self. The more time you put in, the more credit appears on the bank account and therefore in time the more is available for withdrawal.

Now the crucial question:

What holds you back? What stops you going for what you want to achieve in your life?

It is not enough just to create a focus and a plan. To understand where you are now and where you want to go. To change something you have to DO SOMETHING. Put your plans into action. Until you have put your plan into action, you haven’t changed. You are still doing what you have always done.

Become a member of the 20% club. That’s the percentage of successful people in the world. Put your focus into action. It’s your focus, you have thought it, designed it and built it, now have the enthusiasm, desire and aim to implement it.

Change the I can’t into I can. Think for a moment. Is this fear real? Or is it that your imagination has taken over, stopping you from embracing the future? Because, at the moment, you have no evidence of what is going to happen. The only evidence you have is in the past. And as you have not done this before, at this time, then you have no evidence.

Don’t worry about your capabilities. Can I do this? I have never done anything like this before? What will I do when……….? There is something magical about this process called life. Whenever we are faced with an incident we have never faced before somehow the answer arrives. Somehow we have the capability. They appear just when you need them most. If you look back over your life we are sure you will find, like us, that most of the time you set out to do something you didn’t have the capability before you started. The biggest example is education. When you started did you know all the knowledge you had at the end or did you become capable as you went along?

All you need is courage, enthusiasm and discipline. Have the courage to drive towards your goals, the enthusiasm to keep going and the discipline to create a new habit even when it is tough. Keep focussed, keep learning.

“The victory of success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and achieving them. Even the most tedious chore will become endurable as you parade through each day convinced that every task, no matter how menial or boring, brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams. “

Og Mandino

To give yourself a better than average chance of success. Each night before you go to sleep ask yourself: What did I do today to bring me closer to achieving my focus, my aim and objective in life? Break out of the prison cell.

Good Luck

When we take a deeper look through the lens of astrology we can see our psychological make-up and imprinting that often operates on an unconscious level. Becoming aware of our imprinting or inner scripts is the first step to becoming free of them. This is the level where we can do lasting emotional and mental healing.

Beyond the mental level lies a deeper strata which we could call the soul level. On the soul level, the individual is seen as an expression of spirit. This is particularly helpful for healing core issues as all “dis-ease” starts at the energetic level. By understanding where energy is blocked we can open up new pathways for healing.

Lastly, astrology can help us see our true, soul-level purpose in life. The astrological chart is indeed a map of our spiritual destiny if our eyes are open. This is the highest level of astrology and requires that the astrologer has done the work necessary to guide on this level. When we open to our true soul-purpose or calling we let go of feelings of separation and see that life is unfolding according to the divine plan. And……we see that by expressing our individual gifts we are co-creating this Divine plan with spirit moment by moment.

Albert Einstein is quoted as having said, “the world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it”.

These days, everybody is aware of the social, environmental, emotional and spiritual destruction that penetrates every aspect of our life.

Although we all ‘know’ this reality, we have funny ways of dealing with this knowledge.

Some look the other direction, “If I don’t see this homeless person laying in the gutter, then he isn’t really there.”

Some pretend it doesn’t exist, “It’s not possible that they kill women and children, so it cannot be so.”

Others convince themselves it’s not really their problem, “Let the people in the Middle-East kill each other, it doesn’t affect me.”

Some say, it’s not their responsibility; “I pay my taxes, so the government should take care of that.”

Still others like to complain about the situation, “In the old days it was better, today everyone is corrupted, they should have…”

The common thread in all these reactions is – inactivity.

The result is a terminal disease called apathy.

The only cure is taking action.

Someone has to start and lead the way, creating a better world.

What about you?

YES, YOU!

You know what is wrong.

Take a moment and make a list of all the things that are presently wrong in the world.

From extinction of rainforests, warfare, poverty, violence in schools to favoring your work over your family.

Make this list as complete as possible.

Then take a look at it and get horrified for a moment.

OK, STOP!

You know what can be done differently.

Take another moment and change your energy.

Think of all the possible solutions to any of the problems you have just raised.

Don’t censor yourself. Just write down anything that comes to mind.

Immediately your energy increases once more.

OK, STOP!

Now ask the vital question, “What is it that I can do?”

What can be your first step?

Any action will do.

Write it down.

Commit yourself to do it. Starting now.

How does it feel inside?

If it looks like fear, name it excitement.

How does it feel now?

OK, stop analyzing, brainstorming, planning.

Go out there and do it!

NOW!

I can hear you think, “I can’t change this world alone?”

Do you really believe it?

Take action and people will follow.

Most people are afraid to take initiative. Even when they

realize that there is a problem, and even when they have a possible solution.

People are afraid to take the risk and be visible.

People are afraid to make a mistake or look foolish.

Most people prefer to sit in the familiar shit, than to risk the unknown…

But something different is happening as soon as you are willing to become visible.

Suggest a possible course of action, and start doing it.

Immediately the people around you will become confronted with their indifference.

Some will support you, some will object. But the apathy dissipates.

Those that support you, take them on board.

Make them partners in your vision, let them choose their level of participation, and let them do it their way. All you have to do is keeping their eyes on the purpose and direction and from time to time whisper softly in their ears: “you can, you can, you can.”

Those that object to your movements, can be handled in two ways:

You can either let them be, and go your way.

Create as large a distance as possible from them as you can, otherwise they will drain your energy with their constant criticism, complaining, inactivity…

Or you can try and move them. Confront them with their resistance, the prices they pay for the choices in their life, the possibilities they miss. It is hard work usually – ensure that it’s not taking you away from your task at hand.

For now, let’s focus on those who do come aboard.

So you’re the captain now.

Here are the basics of leadership from the heart:

  • You can only take people as far as you are.

If you wish people to go further, you have to go further.

  • As a leader, people look up to you – you become a role model.

All you need is to be authentic. Nothing else.

  • Develop patience, compassion and sense of humor for others, as you’ve been there before.

  • Your highest goal should be continuous growth – yours as well as others.

  • Dealing with challenges is your bottom line.

Perceive each difficulty as a new challenge and express your creativity and wisdom in handling it.

  • Get in contact with the bigger picture.

Meditate, contemplate, and create your own life vision.

  • Leadership from the heart is about doing it together.

Everyone should be partner to the vision.

  • Take responsibility for your situation.

Stop the futile practices of hoping, excusing, blaming and shaming.

  • Empower people for a better world.

Ask more questions; give fewer answers.

  • Operate from personal power, cooperation and friendship.

Drop the use of force, authority and status.

To make this world a better place you can start with simply taking care of one thing and nurturing it. Let it grow. Let others see you care.

And ultimately, if it is not enough or if it is too late, then we go down – but at least we go down trying. We go down knowing we did not waste our love and our life.

If you don’t want to waste your life and your love – what are you going to do?

I love to meditate and have done so as long as I can remember. I fall into a natural meditation usually when I am half-awake, half-asleep.

If you have never meditated or have not been able to, try doing it the following way and see if it helps. The times when I have trouble falling into it naturally, I will clear my mind and concentrate only on one object (mine being Jesus). If any thoughts interrupt me, I’ll push them aside and return to concentrating on my object.

Don’t get frustrated if you have to repeatedly push aside thoughts– especially if you have had a hectic or troubling day. Also, this exercise usually gets easier over time. Soon you’ll find all the days’ problems will start to leave you and you’ll start thinking or getting a picture of something you know is not of the ordinary. Go with this thought and try not to concentrate on it too hard, or if it’s a picture, try not to see more into the future than what you’re seeing; this can interrupt the meditation. If this happens, just start concentrating on your object again.

There is one meditation that stands out above the rest. I found myself in the middle of no where. All scenery was a grayish tan. There was all flat land and one huge mountain. I found myself on top of the mountain taking in all the beauty of being so high above everything. Then I remember just doing a perfect backward dive and having the most serene feeling. About half way down the mountain I turned into an eagle and soared straight up and circled around the area. My meditation then ended.

You will find that meditation gets easier with practise. Just like learning anything new, you have to teach your mind to send your body the correct instructions. Soon, it will become second nature to you. If you find you are having a hard time learning to relax, try to do something which helps you relax before-hand, like: taking a soothing bath, reading, listening to music, etc …

I have had a lot of unique experiences while meditating. They have all been so pleasant. It’s so nice to be able to relax and clear your mind of all the days’ troubles. Just that in itself is enough to try meditation. If you decide to try it, I hope you find it as relaxing, tranquil and cleansing as I do.
